Lavender Lemonade

Hi there! It was a beautiful summer day and seemed like the perfect day to make Lavender Lemonade that I was planning on making since I planted some English Lavender around my house! I am really hoping it will survive the winter and we can enjoy these incredible flowers next year, we haven't had much luck with lavender before.

Today I am sharing a Lavender Lemonade recipe, that is easy to make, very refreshing, and perfect for hot summer days! If you have not yet tried Lavender Lemonade with its delicate floral aromas, be sure to try it!

- juice of 4 lemons

- 1 tsp dried lavender flowers or about 1 tbsp fresh

- 1 cup of sugar

- 2 cups of boiling water

- plain or sparkling water

- ice

Place lavender flowers and sugar in a bowl or small saucepan. Mix with your fingers, rubbing the lavender flowers.

Pour in 2 cups of boiling water, stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Cover and let it brew for 30-40 minutes.

Pour the syrup through a sieve and add the lemon juice. Dilute with plain or carbonated water to the desired concentration. You can also use a few drops of plant-based purple food coloring. Then add ice and enjoy your drink!
